Chris Hemsworth has recently been posting several workouts to social media, giving his followers a glimpse into how he bulked up for the upcoming Thor picture (in which he displays even more body than before) as well as that unreleased Hulk Hogan biopic. In addition to more approachable bodyweight exercises, there have been boxing drills, sled pulls, “monster” barbell programs, upper body burners, and medicine ball routines.
The actor grunts and barks his way through a tough chest day exercise from his health and fitness app Centr in a new Instagram video as he celebrates the arrival of his much anticipated Marvel sequel Thor: Love and Thunder.
He declares in the video as he performs each exercise that “we’re going to roll into a heavy chest workout, lots of yelling, lots of screaming.” Luke Zocchi, a trainer and Centr coach, assists him. “Regardless of where you are—at home, on a bus, train, or airplane—I want to hear you screaming! Move it, participate!”
• Incline Chest Press (12 reps)
• Seated Chest Press (12 reps)
• Cable Flys (12 reps)
• Wide Arm Pushups (10 reps)
Each set consists of four circuits with a minute of rest in between. Even if you don’t have Zocchi available to provide more resistance to those pushups as Hemsworth did, this should still be a fun and hard workout.
