For those who are curious, Lisa Ray previously stated, “I never discontinue my Pilates program.”

Lisa Ray frequently posts training videos on social media and prides herself on leading a healthy, active lifestyle. Similarly to this, the actor from Kasoor recently shared another video on Instagram while discussing her motivation for exercising.

“Why do you exercise? so that I can have more biryani tonight for dinner… so that my girls and I can visit water parks… have second helpings, move patio furniture around, compose my masterpiece while standing up, blast the lid off middle age, and go on mysterious mountain hikes. As a cancer survivor and beyond (sic), and co-founding a digital arts start-up are just a few of my reasons to put health first,” she captioned the photo of herself practicing Pilates. Look at this.

For the uninitiated, Ray fought multiple myeloma, a rare kind of bone marrow cancer that she was identified within 2009. After a stem cell transplant, she was later diagnosed as cancer-free.

Lisa, a mother of twin kids, previously shared a photo and a few videos of her using a medicine ball to exercise.

For those who are curious, Ray had written about her never quitting her Pilates routine: “@thepaddxb. Simply put, I don’t frequently blog about it. However, I’m sharing this because @shaaziaq continues to challenge me despite the months that have passed. The battle is genuine, and isn’t it sweet?

Does Pilates help cancer patients?

A 2017 Research Gate study found that the Pilates solo and belly dance intervention program aid to promote quality of life and lessens the negative effects on the body and mind. They are significant possibilities for this population’s physical activity that can lessen the negative effects of cancer and its therapy, aiding in the patient’s recovery.

According to a video posted by Pilates instructor Yasmin Karachiwala’s organization, The PAD, Pilates is typically advised for breast cancer patients as a type of rehab exercise because it is a low-intensity workout.

Shaazia Qureishi Kanchwala, a Fletcher Pilates instructor, claims that Pilates helps the recovery process by

Enhancing physical performance, decreasing weariness, quelling nausea, and increasing balance

Kanchwala mentioned a few easy movements that cancer sufferers can perform.

Exercises should never be performed in unpleasant ranges; always be aware of this. Start your movement practice with a professional initially, if possible.
