“Losing weight begins with a desire to be fit and healthy. It all starts in the mind, and then you figure out the appropriate food and lifestyle tools “Karishma Chawla, a lifestyle consultant, agreed.

Ashneer Grover, the co-founder of BharatPe, recently disclosed that he shed 10 kgs and shared the two mantras that helped him. The former Shark Tank India judge took to Instagram to share two photos, one of which he captioned, “10 kgs down! Simply discipline and Zedd (obstinacy)”. He previously posted another photo with the caption: “Losing inches and kilos!” “I’m eating well and walking a lot.” Check out his posts below.

Is healthy eating the key to reducing weight?

“Keep in mind that food is information to the body. It determines cellular, tissue, and blood quality. As a result, it is critical to pay attention to what you put in your mouth and how it makes you feel,” Karishma Chawla, a nutritionist, and lifestyle educator told indianexpress.com.

How should you begin your weight-loss journey?

According to Chawla, one must live a healthy disciplinary lifestyle that involves good health concepts such as:

*A well-balanced diet rich in complex carbs, high-quality protein, enough fiber, and vital fatty acids.
*A focus on gut and liver health.
*Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
*Regular exercise that includes both strength training and cardio activity
*Pay attention to rest and recovery time, as well as spiritual wellness.

To achieve your fitness objectives,

*Select a reasonable objective with a time frame in mind.
*Practice visualization or imagine yourself having attained your goals.
*Be determined to succeed.
*Act on the specific strategy and devote time and effort to the workout.
*Diet and exercise are complementary actions to attain your objective.
*Persist with a desire to offer your all to your dream, stated Chawla.

What further can be done?

*According to Chawla, always begin with an “elimination plan” that will assist the body to minimize inflammation, with weight loss as a byproduct. This method entails eliminating foods that may be causing metabolic difficulties, such as dairy, and then gradually returning them to determine your gut’s tolerance to specific foods or food groups, such as dairy. “Always back it up with analyzing your gut, to ascertain the progress in your health or fitness goals”.

*Then “intuitively select a technique, for example, intermittent fasting, etc. that aligns with the body for maximum results”.
